Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Yemi Odumegwu came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Long Lawford's Abiola Adebambo Izuogu. But to his dismay, Abiola Adebambo Izuogu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 10th match minute, Blue stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jibrin Emenike to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the game, Long Lawford's Abiola Adebambo Izuogu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yemi Odumegwu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Long Lawford's zone, Kambinachi Oparaji stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ijeli Animam came out of the goal and Kambinachi Oparaji tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the game, Kambinachi Oparaji cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ijeli Animam was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kambinachi Oparaji fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ijeli Animam having to interfere. Ijeli Animam came out of the goal and Kambinachi Oparaji tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the game, Blue stars's Kambinachi Oparaji nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ijeli Animam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. A collision led to Long Lawford getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ngozichukwuka Abanum hit a great ball. If Nwachukwu Okoduwa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otito Asuzu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kambinachi Oparaji stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yemi Odumegwu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laudamus Udem in the 55th minute of play. Yemi Odumegwu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anene Nanven Garba, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The supporters of Long Lawford booed when Blue stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agbami Adaji didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yemi Odumegwu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademola Adebiyi in the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nwachukwu Okoduwa in the 67th minute of play forced Long Lawford's goalkeeper Ijeli Animam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abiola Adebambo Izuogu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Yemi Odumegwu made a huge save. In the 74th match minute, Long Lawford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Onwudiwe Adebo to maneuver through the defense. Otito Asuzu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ijeli Animam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yemi Odumegwu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anene Nanven Garba went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. 89 minutes into the match, Kambinachi Oparaji notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Long Lawford's Ijeli Animam. Ijeli Animam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Kambinachi Oparaji managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Kambinachi Oparaji was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ijeli Animam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute Kambinachi Oparaji shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ijeli Animam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Long Lawford were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Blue stars's much stronger midfield.
