The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ikechukwu Abanum during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ikechukwu Abanum hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Okorie Aro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Enought Ball's Obinna Ajasin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. West 6 FC's Hammed Aiyetan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Madukaego Achomadu in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Madukaego Achomadu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hammed Aiyetan was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 37th minute, Ngan Funnom Ikpong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Madukaego Achomadu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. Enought Ball's Madukaego Achomadu got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With an all-out effort, Enought Ball's Hammed Aiyetan threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Madukaego Achomadu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hammed Aiyetan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Madukaego Achomadu in the 56th minute of the match. Danlami Najoji charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danlami Najoji the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to West 6 FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Danlami Najoji hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Okorie Aro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Obinna Ajasin was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Madukaego Achomadu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Hammed Aiyetan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Obinna Ajasin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Okorie Aro in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to West 6 FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ovia Abodunde hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, West 6 FC's goalkeeper Hammed Aiyetan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ejimofor Achonu. 85 minutes into the match, Enought Ball's goal looked a bit too open when Stanley Arinze Dickson came free, but Obinna Ajasin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hammed Aiyetan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Madukaego Achomadu in the 87th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Beluchi Ndah's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hammed Aiyetan was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, West 6 FC's Stanley Arinze Dickson got a free kick in the 91st minute.
