In the 7th match minute, Enjoy Yourself was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ime Sunday Egbanabo to maneuver through the defense. Radomil Olender was a little too slow when Nwachukwu Okoduwa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 16th minute Chinwemma Adebote shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yemi Odumegwu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yemi Odumegwu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chinwemma Adebote in the 18th minute of play. Yemi Odumegwu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chinwemma Adebote in the 21st minute of the match. Radomil Olender didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Blue stars's Kambinachi Oparaji shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After some careless play in the Blue stars defense, Chinwemma Adebote kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yemi Odumegwu. The Blue stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yemi Odumegwu should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Blue stars booed when Enjoy Yourself was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chioke Awoyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blue stars's goalkeeper Yemi Odumegwu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Kambinachi Oparaji got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nwachukwu Okoduwa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 played minutes Otito Asuzu rounded Enjoy Yourself's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chinwemma Adebote made a kick off. Ime Sunday Egbanabo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yemi Odumegwu firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 53rd minute, Celestine Ifakachukwu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the game, Blue stars's Nwachukwu Okoduwa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Radomil Olender made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. 57 minutes into the game, Nwachukwu Okoduwa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Radomil Olender was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Enjoy Yourself's zone, Jibrin Emenike stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radomil Olender came out of the goal and Jibrin Emenike tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Radomil Olender made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kambinachi Oparaji in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Blue stars's goal looked a bit too open when Chinwemma Adebote came free, but Yemi Odumegwu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blue stars's Yemi Odumegwu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chioke Awoyo in the 68th minute of play. If Ime Sunday Egbanabo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Blue stars's Kambinachi Oparaji in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Enjoy Yourself's goalie prevented a goal. 79 minutes into the match, Chinwemma Adebote dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yemi Odumegwu, 5-2. Nwachukwu Okoduwa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Enjoy Yourself defense, Okeke Achilike kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radomil Olender. The Enjoy Yourself fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radomil Olender should have stopped the shot. Yemi Odumegwu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chinwemma Adebote, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Kunaiyi Onuabunchi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Yemi Odumegwu made a huge save. Blue stars's Jibrin Emenike got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
