Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Guy Monzon got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the match, OK8CHA MZT's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Obibi came free, but Olawale Dimeji reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kelvin Nwogu fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OK8CHA MZT's protests and gave Kelvin Nwogu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, OK8CHA MZT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelvin Nwogu to maneuver through the defense. Onyeka Layeni's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Olawale Dimeji firmly grabbed it by the left post. Inaku Abioye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kelvin Nwogu in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Sani Iweha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OK8CHA MZT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thatcham the free kick. Sani Iweha hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Thatcham defense, Guy Monzon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inaku Abioye. The Thatcham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inaku Abioye should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute, Kelvin Nwogu made a precise shot to the right of Inaku Abioye. Thatcham's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Guy Monzon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Guy Monzon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inaku Abioye was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. The supporters of Thatcham booed when OK8CHA MZT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelvin Nwogu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half OK8CHA MZT were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chinwenma Okiche made a kick off. Onyeka Layeni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 57 played minutes Thatcham got a freekick which was hit by Eluemuno Salako. Inaku Abioye took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Monzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Kelvin Nwogu managed to get in a good position for a shot. OK8CHA MZT's supporters rose to their feet, but Kelvin Nwogu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inaku Abioye breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kelvin Nwogu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Inaku Abioye made a huge save. Kelvin Nwogu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olawale Dimeji showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chinwenma Okiche, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Edson-Arantes Okocha helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 minutes, Godson Uju mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thatcham and the OK8CHA MZT players grew even worse after the yellow card. 93 minutes into the game, one of Thatcham:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Thatcham:s Inaku Abioye showed great skill when he stopped Cosmin Iosif:s penalty. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. OK8CHA MZT walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
