Cheddar's Somadina Okeke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finidi Udi in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Kingsley Apam notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Earl Shilton's Benson Munachi. Benson Munachi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benson Munachi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adegun Chimezie Akandu in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Cheddar booed when Earl Shilton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gorom Idachaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adegun Chimezie Akandu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benson Munachi having to interfere. Ubanwa Aiyetan hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Kingsley Apam received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benson Munachi came out and tried to block the shot, but Kingsley Apam slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 32nd minute. Benson Munachi didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cheddar's Kingsley Apam shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emelogu Igwe made a kick off. Cheddar's Somadina Okeke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Cheddar from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Kingsley Apam's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benson Munachi was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Cheddar's Ogunmola Olagoke Ohajuruka quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bright Abalogu, made in the 88th minute of the game. Finidi Udi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Somadina Okeke when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cheddar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Earl Shilton had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
