The referee ignored Thatcham's protests and gave Nweke Kolapo a yellow card for diving instead. Nweke Kolapo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Laudamus Ogbaki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Inaku Abioye. Thatcham's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laudamus Ogbaki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. BLACK DRAGON's Bruno Belmiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chinwenma Okiche in the 42nd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

In the 51st minute of the game Chinwenma Okiche made a throw-in which Matthew Obibi played forward. After having played for 52 minutes, Olamide Iyenemi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thatcham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olamide Iyenemi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of BLACK DRAGON booed when Thatcham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nweke Kolapo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
