Inaku Abioye didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC GreenWhiteGreen's Anthimos Sofos shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Bukar Jibero charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bukar Jibero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 7 minutes into the game, one of Thatcham:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 12 minutes into the game, Godson Uju was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thatcham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC GreenWhiteGreen the free kick. The supporters of FC GreenWhiteGreen booed when Thatcham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godson Uju didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes, FC GreenWhiteGreen's Oddy Kamuche shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Inaku Abioye came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC GreenWhiteGreen reached it. If Eriberto de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19thth minute of the game Eriberto de Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thatcham's Inaku Abioye was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th match minute, Thatcham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Onyeka Layeni to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Micheal Ransome-Kuti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Anthimos Sofos notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Thatcham's Inaku Abioye. Inaku Abioye was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the game, Anthimos Sofos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Inaku Abioye was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thatcham's Inaku Abioye played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto de Castro in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute Anthimos Sofos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inaku Abioye saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anthimos Sofos in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inaku Abioye prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC GreenWhiteGreen were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Thatcham's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oddy Kamuche took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Eriberto de Castro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Inaku Abioye quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Inaku Abioye made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto de Castro in the 40th minute of play. Chinwenma Okiche received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nedum Odunaro came out and tried to block the shot, but Chinwenma Okiche slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Osa Adenuga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inaku Abioye read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. When FC GreenWhiteGreen's Anthimos Sofos in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Eriberto de Castro in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Inaku Abioye, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Inaku Abioye was a little too slow when Anthimos Sofos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 1-6. With a little luck, Thatcham's Inaku Abioye got control of the ball when Eriberto de Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute, Thatcham's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eriberto de Castro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. FC GreenWhiteGreen made a substitution. After a rather tough play, FC GreenWhiteGreen's Eriberto de Castro got a free kick in the 86th minute. When Onyeka Layeni came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Thatcham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Onyeka Layeni couldn't finish the play. When FC GreenWhiteGreen's Anthimos Sofos in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
