The supporters of Manchester United booed when Tangier Renaissance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilal El Assas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Kamal El Bounadi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Kamal El Bounadi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kamal El Bounadi got free with Moustafa Lahoua in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Tangier Renaissance defense, Asafar Zerka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moustafa Lahoua. The Tangier Renaissance fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moustafa Lahoua should have stopped the shot. Manchester United's Ryszard Wisniewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Soubhi Ammi in the 95th minute of play. The Manchester United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Manchester United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
