In the 23rd minute, Sifaks Bendahman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guelmim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gaya Malki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Chihi having to interfere. Salim Chihi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amezyan Falah in the 29th minute of the match. Ghalib El Kasmi's late challenge caught a Taroudant Renaissance's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ghalib El Kasmi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Guelmim's Ghalib El Kasmi got a free kick in the 31st minute. If Gaya Malki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaya Malki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Salim Chihi made a huge save. Salim Chihi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amenzu Zaki, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. A collision led to Guelmim getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Sifaks Bendahman hit a great ball. After the first half Guelmim were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amezyan Falah was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wassim Benkhirane during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Taroudant Renaissance booed when Guelmim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wassim Benkhirane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Taroudant Renaissance's Amezyan Falah got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Taroudant Renaissance booed when Guelmim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osmane Boussoufa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sifaks Bendahman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 minutes, Gaya Malki made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Guelmim's Salim Chihi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute, Guelmim's Tamir Arazi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Amezyan Falah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Chihi having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Taroudant Renaissance's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tamir Arazi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 74th minute, Idus Chkilit had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Azmi Kadmiri during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Taroudant Renaissance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azmi Kadmiri to maneuver through the defense. After 79 played minutes Guelmim got a freekick which was hit by Wassim Benkhirane. 80 minutes into the match, Taroudant Renaissance's Uksintas Boussaboun broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tamir Arazi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guelmim's supporters rose to their feet, but Tamir Arazi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sajed Boutayeb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guelmim had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
