Ashraf Zerka made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Taoufiq Talih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taoufiq Talih in the 18th minute of play forced FC GLM's goalkeeper Ashraf Zerka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atbir Sinouh got free with Taha Kadmiri in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taoufiq Talih in the 21st minute of play forced FC GLM's goalkeeper Ashraf Zerka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Tarek Achik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salé's supporters rose to their feet, but Tarek Achik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ashraf Zerka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the FC GLM defense, Labib El Mouataz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ashraf Zerka. The FC GLM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ashraf Zerka should have stopped the shot. In the 29th match minute, FC GLM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Najim Ouaddou to maneuver through the defense. FC GLM's Ashraf Zerka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taoufiq Talih in the 31st minute of play. Ashraf Zerka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taoufiq Talih's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, FC GLM's Najim Ouaddou got a free kick in the 38th minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Taoufiq Talih managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taoufiq Talih was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mazine Chippo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After having played for 46 minutes, Taoufiq Talih managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Taoufiq Talih was the one to do the kick off. Kasper Edström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashraf Zerka having to interfere. Taoufiq Talih could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Ashraf Zerka made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Salé's Yahya Boutarbouch got a free kick in the 58th minute. Taoufiq Talih blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ashraf Zerka having to make a save. Kasper Edström was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Salé's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Taoufiq Talih kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ashraf Zerka. That made the score 1-3 in the 67 minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Taoufiq Talih got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute, Tarek Achik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Salé booed when FC GLM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Najim Ouaddou didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Salé fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Safi Faris was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 87th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Taoufiq Talih came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Salé fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taoufiq Talih couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FC GLM booed when Salé was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yahya Boutarbouch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Taoufiq Talih in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ashraf Zerka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Salé's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
