The referee ignored Kenitra's protests and gave Salem Antaki a yellow card for diving instead. Salem Antaki hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Kenitra's Ouahib Farras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hisham Zerka in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Afer Lahoua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sifaks El Hirech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Kenitra's goal looked a bit too open when Hisham Zerka came free, but Ouahib Farras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sifaks El Hirech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afer Lahoua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 played minutes Khouribga Kawkab got a freekick which was hit by Abdelali Loutfi. Ziad Akachar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Hisham Zerka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ouahib Farras was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ouahib Farras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hisham Zerka in the 26th minute of the match. Kenitra were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Khouribga Kawkab's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zaid El Azhari took the corner. The corner led Kenitra's Zaid El Azhari to fire away a dangerous shot which Sifaks El Hirech despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Khouribga Kawkab's zone, Afer Lahoua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sifaks El Hirech came out of the goal and Afer Lahoua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uksintas Lamin kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Afer Lahoua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kenitra's supporters rose to their feet, but Afer Lahoua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sifaks El Hirech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afer Lahoua to make the kick off. A collision led to Khouribga Kawkab getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Izil Timoumi hit a great ball. After 55 minutes of play, Kenitra's Afer Lahoua made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sifaks El Hirech was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hisham Zerka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ouahib Farras having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afer Lahoua in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sifaks El Hirech saved Khouribga Kawkab from getting behind. In the 65th minute, Hisham Zerka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ziad Akachar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hisham Zerka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ouahib Farras having to interfere. If Idir Zerka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khouribga Kawkab's Sifaks El Hirech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afer Lahoua in the 84th minute of play. Idir Zerka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sifaks El Hirech having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Idir Zerka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sifaks El Hirech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Khouribga Kawkab's goal looked a bit too open when Afer Lahoua came free, but Sifaks El Hirech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Khouribga Kawkab failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
