Yamine Jermouni's late challenge caught a Taza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rachad Soauri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Chakir Camacho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Sifaks El Morabet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IM Sport FC and the Taza players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Taza's Usus El Brazi got a free kick in the 25th minute. IM Sport FC's Aderfi Boussoufa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Taza. Rachad Soauri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Safi Kolna Mgharba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chakir Camacho having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Taza's Antalas Zerka got a free kick in the 34th minute. IM Sport FC's Izri Aouita got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rachad Soauri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Safi Kolna Mgharba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Taza's Rachad Soauri fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 51 played minutes Taza got a freekick which was hit by Badis El Zhar. 54 minutes into the match, Taza's goal looked a bit too open when Izri Aouita came free, but Salem Bouden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taza's Salem Bouden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Izri Aouita in the 66th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdelbassir Oussalah during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Taza booed when IM Sport FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelbassir Oussalah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chakir Camacho was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anir Abdelghani. In the 69th minute Anir Abdelghani suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Meddur Abdellaoui fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IM Sport FC's protests and gave Meddur Abdellaoui a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes IM Sport FC got a freekick which was hit by Meddur Abdellaoui. Usus El Brazi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 minutes, Sabri Loutfi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taza and the IM Sport FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Taza getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Sabri Loutfi hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Izri Aouita in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Salem Bouden saved Taza from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Taza's zone, Izri Aouita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salem Bouden came out of the goal and Izri Aouita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Taza's Salem Bouden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Izri Aouita in the 90th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Taza got a freekick which was hit by Antalas Zerka. If Mohammad Chadli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, IM Sport FC could leave the field as winners, despite Taza having more of the ball for most of the match.
