After having played for 33 minutes, Rachad Ezzine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Al-Hoceima Najm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachad Ezzine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Meissour Kasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After having played for 53 minutes, Taher Aouita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Khouribga Renaissance's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taher Aouita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Taher Aouita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Izri Belmahjoub having to interfere. A collision led to Al-Hoceima Najm getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Talal Ajri hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anir Benaskar in the 73rd minute of play forced Khouribga Renaissance's goalkeeper Soubhi Sinouh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Al-Hoceima Najm's goal looked a bit too open when Meissour Kasi came free, but Izri Belmahjoub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Khouribga Renaissance eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
