Charlie Watts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jez Brady's late challenge caught a Tunbridge Wells United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jez Brady helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bristol Black Horse FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Jez Brady hit a great ball. In the 9th minute of the match Thomas Prutton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charlie Watts showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Bristol Black Horse FC's Jerome Kennedy got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Darryl Carlick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Eddie Dalton notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Bristol Black Horse FC's Charlie Watts. Charlie Watts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute, Eddie Dalton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eddie Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rob Neill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Kev Deaconsfield made a huge save. Eddie Dalton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charlie Watts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Dalton in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Tunbridge Wells United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Prutton to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Marty Higgins sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Kev Deaconsfield threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Marty Higgins this time. Kev Deaconsfield made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rob Neill in the 46th minute. The Bristol Black Horse FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tunbridge Wells United were winning 0-2.

Charlie Watts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Dalton in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bristol Black Horse FC's Glenn Hatcher got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Darryl Carlick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edward Blake's late challenge caught a Tunbridge Wells United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 69th match minute, Tunbridge Wells United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Al Simpson to maneuver through the defense. Kev Deaconsfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerome Kennedy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 played minutes Eddie Dalton rounded Bristol Black Horse FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. In the 79th minute, Tommy Rothwell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 85 minutes, Eddie Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tunbridge Wells United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddie Dalton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charlie Watts was a little too slow when Darryl Carlick got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-4. The Bristol Black Horse FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tunbridge Wells United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
