Archie Laycock charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Archie Laycock the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 played minutes Derry Hill got a freekick which was hit by Archie Laycock . In the 38th minute, Lloyd Spink sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Derry Hill's Frankie Whittaker didn't even have to move. In the 40th minute Kieran Tully shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frankie Whittaker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Deptford getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Steve Hargreaves hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Joshua Washington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garth Edwards saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kieran Tully was the one to do the kick off. If Jack Townsend had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Deptford's Lloyd Spink got a free kick in the 70th minute. Tod Preston might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frankie Whittaker . Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. If Alan Garlick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Alan Garlick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garth Edwards saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Deptford players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Derry Hill from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
