Joshua Frost could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Seth Willoughby made a huge save. Joshua Frost received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Seth Willoughby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Westerham were awarded a corner. Vinnie Cotton went to the cornerflag to take it. Westerham's Loyd Pearch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Daly in the 37th minute of play. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Harry Crossman sped through Westerham's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Loyd Pearch . Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Lanyon to make the kick off. Harry Crossman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Bastow during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Westerham getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. John Bastow hit a great ball. Seth Willoughby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Lanyon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loyd Pearch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Crossman , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joshua Frost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seth Willoughby having to interfere. Kristopher Lovett 's late challenge caught a Staithes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristopher Lovett helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th match minute, Westerham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristopher Lovett to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute of the match Devon McCann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Loyd Pearch showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pierre Daly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Loyd Pearch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre Daly who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Loyd Pearch when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Staithes's goal looked a bit too open when Kristopher Lovett came free, but Seth Willoughby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joshua Frost sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, Joshua Frost notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Staithes's Seth Willoughby . Seth Willoughby was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
