Spectators: 6849 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 0) Dave Haxby started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Malcolm Moore's late challenge caught a Accrington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malcolm Moore helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Malcolm Moore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darren Warrender received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Glenn Blakewell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, Columbia Business School was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrew Bullard to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Accrington booed when Columbia Business School was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Len Radcliffe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Bronagh Robertson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Accrington's supporters rose to their feet, but Bronagh Robertson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glenn Blakewell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22ndth minute of the game Darren Warrender who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Columbia Business School's Glenn Blakewell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bronagh Robertson 's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Glenn Blakewell skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 27 played minutes, Accrington's Josh Dowie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Glenn Blakewell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Accrington reached it. Darren Warrender received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Glenn Blakewell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Columbia Business School's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bronagh Robertson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bronagh Robertson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darren Warrender recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Russ Gettins came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Columbia Business School's Christian Crawshaw. But to his dismay, Christian Crawshaw quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Dave Haxby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Accrington players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Columbia Business School were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darren Warrender was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Accrington's Bronagh Robertson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glenn Blakewell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 54 minutes Columbia Business School's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dave Dawson who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Dave Dawson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Glenn Blakewell quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 61stth minute of the game Darren Warrender who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Columbia Business School's Glenn Blakewell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dave Haxby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Accrington's Justin Blacksmith got a free kick in the 64th minute. Russ Gettins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Crawshaw, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Christian Crawshaw got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Russ Gettins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Haxby in the 82nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darren Warrender in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glenn Blakewell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Accrington's Russ Gettins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Haxby in the 85th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Accrington got a freekick which was hit by Nicky Haylock . After having played for 89 minutes, Dave Haxby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Columbia Business School's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Haxby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dave Haxby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Crawshaw's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Russ Gettins skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Russ Gettins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Haxby in the 98th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Columbia Business School eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
