Spectators: 6852 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1852, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jimmy Wiley got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Little Comberton's Dave Graham got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Little Comberton's goalkeeper Victor Butt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wayne Patten . If Wayne Patten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Rodney Oakes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Victor Butt . The goal made the score 1-0. Wayne Patten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Little Comberton's Rowan Shaw got a free kick in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Wokingham United's Wayne Patten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Butt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Rowan Shaw cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Stiff Osborn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodney Oakes was the one to do the kick off. Wayne Patten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robbie Hutchinson 's late challenge caught a Little Comberton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robbie Hutchinson helped the player get up and apologised. Robbie Hutchinson kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Des Moxon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Stiff Osborn made a huge save. In the 65th minute, Jimmy Wiley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Wayne Patten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Butt came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Wokingham United's Wayne Patten . But to his dismay, Wayne Patten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Wokingham United's Stiff Osborn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Wokingham United from getting a goal against them. Stiff Osborn didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 81st minute, which inside left pole to 3-2. Stiff Osborn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Wiley , who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wokingham United's zone, Des Moxon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stiff Osborn came out of the goal and Des Moxon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Wokingham United's goal looked a bit too open when Des Moxon came free, but Stiff Osborn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wayne Patten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
