Seating: 1854, VIP seats: 160) 8 minutes into the match, Richie Yeo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Glenn Blakewell. Columbia Business School's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richie Yeo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Christian Crawshaw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Dennis Pitts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Alistair Rice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Columbia Business School's goal looked a bit too open when Richie Yeo came free, but Glenn Blakewell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Odell shot from long distance in the 19th minute, but Dennis Pitts was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Christian Crawshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Columbia Business School's zone, Richie Yeo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glenn Blakewell came out of the goal and Richie Yeo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 minutes, Gerry Gillespie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Columbia Business School and the Euston AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gerry Gillespie kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Euston AFC's Richie Yeo got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 30 minutes, Dave Haxby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Columbia Business School's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Haxby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dennis Pitts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Crawshaw in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute Jeremy Hancock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glenn Blakewell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malcolm Moore during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Malcolm Moore kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Euston AFC were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Columbia Business School's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jeremy Patrick took the corner. Jeremy Patrick made a great header on Euston AFC's corner, it was just that Columbia Business School's Glenn Blakewell managed to reach the ball for a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dave Haxby to strike the kick off in the second half. Columbia Business School's Glenn Blakewell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richie Yeo in the 56th minute of play. With his leg Glenn Blakewell managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Euston AFC's Jeremy Hancock fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Christian Crawshaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Pitts having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Michael Brownlee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Euston AFC fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Euston AFC's Richie Yeo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Richie Yeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malcolm Moore hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Richie Yeo took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Glenn Blakewell to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Columbia Business School getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Len Radcliffe hit a great ball. Glenn Blakewell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremy Hancock in the 90th minute. Michael Brownlee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Columbia Business School supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Euston AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Euston AFC.
