Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 0) Broken City's Piers Worrall started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Piers Worrall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cody Morgan was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Piers Worrall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Piers Worrall in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cody Morgan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cody Morgan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Piers Worrall's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Piers Worrall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harry Alderdice received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cody Morgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albert Long showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Brooks in the 18th minute of the match. If Piers Worrall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Alderdice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cody Morgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piers Worrall in the 28th minute of the match. If Piers Worrall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Long made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Brooks in the 35th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Piers Worrall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cody Morgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piers Worrall, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Adam Brooks made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Broken City booed when Lincoln was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Craig Maunder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piers Worrall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cody Morgan having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Garth Cummins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lincoln's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Broken City the free kick. A collision led to Lincoln getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Garth Cummins hit a great ball. When Piers Worrall came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Broken City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piers Worrall couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Lincoln defense, Piers Worrall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cody Morgan . The Lincoln fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cody Morgan should have stopped the shot. When Broken City's Piers Worrall in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lincoln's goalie prevented a goal. Jack Croxford made in the 70th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Broken City's Jack Rowett. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piers Worrall in the 72nd minute of play forced Lincoln's goalkeeper Cody Morgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Piers Worrall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cody Morgan having to interfere. Piers Worrall did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Cody Morgan 76 minutes into the match. Harry Alderdice received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Cody Morgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piers Worrall in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cody Morgan , who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jack Rowett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Broken City's Roy Bailey got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute of the match Geoff Cousens sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albert Long skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot 91 in the game by Piers Worrall from a close distance when the talented Cody Morgan managed to make a qualified save. Lincoln's players were relieved. Broken City were furious when Seth Duckworth was red carded, 93 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match was over Broken City could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lincoln throughout the match.
