Spectators: 8040 (Terracing: 6031, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dennis Gower kicked off to start the match. CJ Burns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Leigh Lewis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Danny Cotterill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vernon Bassett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Jones hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Vernon Bassett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Gower in the 17th minute of the match. Danny Cotterill struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Vernon Bassett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Asot. In the 22nd minute of the match Willie Granville sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vernon Bassett skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Sky High Vs getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. CJ Burns hit a great ball. In the 25th minute of the match Sebastien Postolan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vernon Bassett showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Danny Cotterill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vernon Bassett having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Dennis Gower put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vernon Bassett. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danny Cotterill during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Danny Cotterill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sam Burton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leigh Lewis having to interfere. Asot's Leigh Lewis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Burton in the 36th minute of play. If Bob Lewington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Gower in the 40th minute of play forced Sky High Vs's goalkeeper Vernon Bassett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sam Burton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vernon Holmes charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vernon Holmes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Asot's Vernon Holmes got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Asot's zone, Bob Lewington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leigh Lewis came out of the goal and Bob Lewington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sam Burton made a kick off. Danny Cotterill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Gower in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vernon Bassett saved Sky High Vs from getting behind. After 58 played minutes Sky High Vs got a freekick which was hit by Brian Donaldson. If Bob Lewington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Sam Burton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sky High Vs's zone, Danny Cotterill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vernon Bassett came out of the goal and Danny Cotterill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Dennis Gower came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Asot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Gower couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Sky High Vs's Leon Jones got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Danny Cotterill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asot's supporters rose to their feet, but Danny Cotterill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vernon Bassett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 78 minutes into the match, Sky High Vs's goalkeeper Vernon Bassett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Cotterill . The audience thought a goal was coming when Danny Cotterill got free with Vernon Bassett in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vernon Bassett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Cotterill in the 85th minute of play. When Sebastien Postolan fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Asot's protests and gave Sebastien Postolan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, one of Asot:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Asot. In the 91st minute Sam Burton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leigh Lewis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danny Cotterill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vernon Bassett having to interfere. CJ Burns hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Asot left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sky High Vs.
