In the 7th minute, Sam Hart ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lee Swallow was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cody Reid Clanny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Phil Chivers made a huge save. In the 12th match minute, Uldale AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marty Llyod to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Cody Reid Clanny got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sam Hart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Lee Swallow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dover's Archie Pearson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 19th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Phil Chivers but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Dover's Philip Strongman got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute of the match Benjamin Chandler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lee Swallow showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jerome Morrice struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Lee Swallow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uldale AFC. Cody Reid Clanny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Phil Chivers made a huge save. Phil Chivers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Cousins , who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After having played for 49 minutes, Cody Reid Clanny managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dover's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cody Reid Clanny was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Uldale AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phil Cousins to make the kick off. Phil Chivers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phil Cousins 's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cody Reid Clanny in the 54th minute of play forced Uldale AFC's goalkeeper Phil Chivers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cody Reid Clanny struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Phil Chivers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dover. Phil Chivers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Uldale AFC booed when Dover was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josh Robinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lee Swallow made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Sam Hart sent off a good shot on target. Jerome Morrice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Cody Reid Clanny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dover's supporters rose to their feet, but Cody Reid Clanny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phil Chivers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 97 minutes, Vincent Blunt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uldale AFC and the Dover players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vincent Blunt kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The Uldale AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
