Frank Sachs started the match with the kick off. Peter Hääger hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Edmund Majman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Peter Hääger threw the ball into play from the sideline. Germany's Willy Stieler quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 12th minute, Ulrich Stein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Peter Hääger fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chimpanserna FC's protests and gave Peter Hääger a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chimpanserna FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Peter Hääger hit a great ball. Edmund Majman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 27th minute of the match. Douglas Jakobsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Edmund Majman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Sachs's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Linus Schwerner made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Chimpanserna FC's Peter Hääger. Gunnar Hellström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 46th minute of play forced Chimpanserna FC's goalkeeper Edmund Majman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 played minutes Chimpanserna FC got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Jakobsson.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gunnar Hellström was the one to do the kick off. Edmund Majman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Germany booed when Chimpanserna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Godholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmund Majman having to make a save. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Edmund Majman made a huge save. The throw-in from Willy Stieler in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chimpanserna FC's Sten Godholm. Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 77th minute Gunnar Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Edmund Majman in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the game, Linus Schwerner threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chimpanserna FC's Peter Hääger quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 83rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Hellström in the 85th minute of the match. Germany were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Chimpanserna FC to leave the ground with a draw.
