In the 78th minute Ciarán Rose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennie Law saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Sturminster Newton's Ciarán Rose nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lennie Law made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Peter Morgan hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Tod Kemp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willie Dowie, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Alistair Jenas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dersingham United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
