Spectators: 6875 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1875, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Andrew Kindness got the match started through his kick off. Lennie Law made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franz Paine in the 14th minute of play. Willie Dowie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dersingham United's Willie Dowie was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to Epsom getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Perry Green hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes Epsom got a freekick which was hit by Sammy Briggs . After having played for 25 minutes, Willie Dowie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dersingham United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willie Dowie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaz Burton during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Epsom getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Gaz Burton hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Epsom's Franz Paine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lennie Law narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lennie Law didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franz Paine went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Dale Cousens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Beadle having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Willie Dowie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alistair Jenas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrew Kindness in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lennie Law prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cody Cryer kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Peter Botham 's late challenge caught a Dersingham United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Botham helped the player get up and apologised. 65 minutes into the game, one of Epsom:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Carl Pryor placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Alistair Jenas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Dersingham United's zone, Andrew Kindness stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennie Law came out of the goal and Andrew Kindness tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rod Beadle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alistair Jenas in the 80th minute of play. Lennie Law took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Briggs , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alistair Jenas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Lennie Law managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Epsom's Franz Paine fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Franz Paine kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Lennie Law made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Kindness in the 97th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
