Seating: 1861, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Andrew Colt made the kick off which started today's match. Romeo Coulthard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Sandown's Kenny Brent slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patrick Noble. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Rick Short made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harvey Gamble in the 8th minute of play. Jack Deighton hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Kenny Brent blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrick Noble having to make a save. Patrick Noble made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Kenny Brent sent off a good shot on target. Sandown's Andrew Colt managed to work through Pirroni-cum-Moze's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Andrew Colt dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Andrew Colt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Cliff Wilkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kenny Brent could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Patrick Noble made a huge save. Rick Short showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harvey Gamble in the 28th minute of the match. The supporters of Pirroni-cum-Moze booed when Sandown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrew Colt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sandown's Jason Short got a free kick in the 36th minute. When Calvin Findley came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Sandown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calvin Findley couldn't finish the play. Patrick Noble made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kenny Brent in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute, Leroy Bond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandown were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Pirroni-cum-Moze's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kris Rouse took the corner. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The wind increased when Harvey Gamble made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, George Gardener was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirroni-cum-Moze's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sandown the free kick. A collision led to Pirroni-cum-Moze getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. George Gardener hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Kenny Brent notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Pirroni-cum-Moze's Patrick Noble. Patrick Noble was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Patrick Noble showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew Colt , who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Andrew Colt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenny Brent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69thth minute of the game Andrew Colt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pirroni-cum-Moze's Patrick Noble was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Pirroni-cum-Moze's goal looked a bit too open when Kenny Brent came free, but Patrick Noble reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Andrew Colt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenny Brent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Patrick Noble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 83 played minutes Pirroni-cum-Moze got a freekick which was hit by Phil Lamb. Kenny Brent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Andrew Colt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Noble having to interfere.
