Walmley's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Mark Nolan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrew Whitehead sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mark Nolan might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stephen George. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mark Nolan ran back to his position shaking his head. Seth Stone charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seth Stone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Seth Stone hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Wimbledon FC's Stephen George proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Wimbledon FC from getting a goal against them. Stephen George was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Andrew Whitehead capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andrew Whitehead really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Seth Stone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Forrest in the 42nd minute of play forced Walmley's goalkeeper Joe Brontë to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seth Stone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Joe Brontë tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Walmley getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kristopher Clement hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the game, Wayne Beaumont was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wimbledon FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Walmley the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Wimbledon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wayne Beaumont to maneuver through the defense. Kristopher Clement , 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

The wind increased when Stuart Forrest made the kick off in the second half. If Andrew Whitehead had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 55th minute, Mark Nolan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Walmley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Stephen George showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew Whitehead , who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Wimbledon FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Walmley:s goal. In the 79th minute, Andrew Whitehead made a precise shot to the right of Stephen George. Wimbledon FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. A collision led to Wimbledon FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jordan White hit a great ball. When Walmley's Mark Nolan in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wimbledon FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Walmley's goalkeeper Joe Brontë, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andrew Whitehead sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mark Nolan struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Stephen George didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walmley. Walmley walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
