Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Stuart Forrest kicked off to start the match. Seth Stone took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Todd Waller . Todd Waller dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 10th minute, Seth Stone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stephen George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Power in the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Wimbledon FC's Kurt Lincoln got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Jane Reddington hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Stephen George didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Neil Power went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Stuart Forrest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stephen George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Power in the 37th minute of the match. Jane Reddington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen George having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Neil Power managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nailsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Neil Power was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephen George breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jane Reddington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Nailsea's Jane Reddington sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stephen George narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jane Reddington was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Jane Reddington managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nailsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Jane Reddington was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephen George breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Seth Stone came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Wimbledon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seth Stone couldn't finish the play. After 65 played minutes Wimbledon FC got a freekick which was hit by Bryan Powell. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jane Reddington in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stephen George prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Seth Stone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Todd Waller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Wimbledon FC fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Wimbledon FC's Stuart Forrest looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Seth Stone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Todd Waller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Forrest in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute Stuart Forrest shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Waller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jane Reddington 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stephen George read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. When Neil Power came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Nailsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neil Power couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Nailsea getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Vance William Russell hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Wimbledon FC had won after a very even match.
