Spectators: 6845 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1845, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Willie Botham took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Neil Power had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Nailsea's Neil Power sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thom Key narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Todd Waller came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Neasden United's Willie Botham . But to his dismay, Willie Botham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Nailsea's Jane Reddington in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Neasden United's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Neil Power managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nailsea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neil Power was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. John Cunnah scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Todd Waller , who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, Johnny Moyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 played minutes Neasden United got a freekick which was hit by Neil Hazledine . If Neil Power had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Nailsea booed when Neasden United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darren Gamble didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 52 played minutes Neasden United got a freekick which was hit by Willie Botham . In the 55th match minute, Nailsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vance William Russell to maneuver through the defense. Neasden United's Willie Botham managed to work through Nailsea's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Willie Botham dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. John Cunnah who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Todd Waller when he managed to save the team from getting behind. John Cunnah struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Todd Waller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neasden United. Thom Key made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jane Reddington in the 67th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Jane Reddington managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nailsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Jane Reddington was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thom Key breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neil Hazledine hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Jane Reddington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thom Key showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Power in the 82nd minute of the match. When Neil Power came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Nailsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neil Power couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Nailsea booed when Neasden United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Hazledine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neasden United's Thom Key played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jane Reddington in the 94th minute of play. The Neasden United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
