Spectators: 6849 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Philip Bartram started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Empire Club Recea's zone, Colin Ball stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Middlewood came out of the goal and Colin Ball tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Codicote City's goalkeeper Thomas Watts , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Colin Theakston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Adrian Branson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colin Theakston hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Codicote City's Keith Ridgeway got a free kick in the 26th minute. Sam Warner, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Martin Middlewood made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Dominik McLiam Wilson sent off a good shot on target. Colin Ball received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Martin Middlewood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The wind increased when Colin Ball made the kick off in the second half. Martin Middlewood came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Codicote City's Dominik McLiam Wilson. But to his dismay, Dominik McLiam Wilson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Colin Ball sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dominik McLiam Wilson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominik McLiam Wilson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Martin Middlewood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Empire Club Recea's Albert Butler Yeats shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 64th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Thomas Watts but with some difficulty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Colin Ball in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Middlewood saved Empire Club Recea from getting behind. When Empire Club Recea's Philip Bartram in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Codicote City's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Colin Ball in the 75th managed to get into a good position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colin Ball in the 87th minute of play forced Empire Club Recea's goalkeeper Martin Middlewood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colin Ball in the 92nd minute of play forced Empire Club Recea's goalkeeper Martin Middlewood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominik McLiam Wilson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Codicote City's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
