Maik Nethercot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Andy Robins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Vince Newton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andy Robins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maik Nethercot went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Andy Robins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sly Hyde in the 16th minute of the match. Bridgwater City's Thomas Harrison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vince Newton in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Maik Nethercot made a precise shot to the right of Andy Robins . Leicester's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Reg Lynam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Thomas Harrison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Leicester got a freekick which was hit by Charlie Haley . In the 46th match minute, Leicester was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vince Newton to maneuver through the defense. Maik Nethercot 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andy Robins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The Leicester players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bridgwater City were winning 0-2.

The audience was convinced that Reg Lynam 's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Harrison was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Patrick Patten 's late challenge caught a Bridgwater City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Patten helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Leicester's Patrick Patten got a free kick in the 59th minute. Vince Newton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Marlon Tonkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Leicester's Colin Green got a free kick in the 81st minute. Andy Robins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maik Nethercot , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Llyod hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes Leicester got a freekick which was hit by Marlon Tonkin . After 92 played minutes, Bridgwater City's Alexander Llyod shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andy Robins came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bridgwater City reached it. The Bridgwater City supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bridgwater City would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
