If Henry Coates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Henry Coates received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Brian Bateman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joey Brazier in the 9th minute of play forced Alexandra FC's goalkeeper Jo Shipley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Vincent Folwill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Windsor AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vincent Folwill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Joey Brazier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jo Shipley was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Vincent Folwill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jo Shipley having to make a save. After 22 minutes of play, Windsor AFC's Joey Brazier made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jo Shipley was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jo Shipley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Folwill , who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Vincent Folwill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jo Shipley having to interfere. Joey Brazier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jo Shipley having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Hepburn got free with Brian Bateman in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Windsor AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Coates came free, but Brian Bateman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joey Brazier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francis Corbridge charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francis Corbridge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Windsor AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francis Corbridge to maneuver through the defense. 49 minutes into the game, Hamilton Beadel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Windsor AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alexandra FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Windsor AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 48th minute. Penalty! Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henry Coates to make the kick off. Brian Bateman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Coates's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After 66 played minutes Alexandra FC got a freekick which was hit by Andre Price. Phil Harty shot from long distance in the 67th minute, but Jo Shipley was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Vincent Folwill 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jo Shipley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Henry Coates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Bateman having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vincent Folwill got free with Jo Shipley in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charles Argent kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Joey Brazier struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Jo Shipley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Windsor AFC. Vincent Folwill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Damion Morley fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Windsor AFC's protests and gave Damion Morley a yellow card for diving instead. Damion Morley hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Denis Hepburn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Brian Bateman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 98 minutes into the match, Joey Brazier dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jo Shipley, 1-3. The Windsor AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
