Jack Brearley's late challenge caught a Potters Bar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jack Brearley helped the player get up and apologised. 16 minutes into the match, Matthew Reddington had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vance Charles. Uxbridge City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matthew Reddington was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 19th minute, Patrick Button reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathon Tucker . The goal made the score 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reg Simms in the 23rd minute of play forced Potters Bar's goalkeeper Jonathon Tucker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Patrick Hall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Vance Charles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Reg Simms received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathon Tucker came out and tried to block the shot, but Reg Simms slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 32nd minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Matthew Reddington who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uxbridge City's Vance Charles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jack Brearley got his second yellow card in the match during the 43rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 44th match minute, Uxbridge City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Brearley to maneuver through the defense. When Patrick Button came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Uxbridge City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Button couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matthew Reddington to make the kick off. Patrick Hall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Reg Simms was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uxbridge City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Potters Bar the free kick. After a rather tough play, Uxbridge City's Reg Simms got a free kick in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Uxbridge City's zone, Patrick Hall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vance Charles came out of the goal and Patrick Hall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Patrick Hall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Potters Bar's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Hall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vance Charles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Patrick Hall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthew Reddington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Clough kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Vance Charles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthew Reddington , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matthew Reddington in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vance Charles saved Uxbridge City from getting behind. When Potters Bar's Matthew Reddington in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uxbridge City's goalie prevented a goal.
