Martyn Froggatt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonny Bourton in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Marek Ingham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sam Featherstone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Bournemouth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Holmes to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Holmes during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Bournemouth FC got a freekick which was hit by Eric Holmes. Frank Snowdon shot a long shot in the 30th minute and a light blocked Sam Featherstone hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-1. Sam Featherstone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Bridgewater , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kristopher Tompkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Vince Appleton came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Bournemouth FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vince Appleton couldn't finish the play. In the 45th match minute, Bournemouth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Holmes to maneuver through the defense. Kristopher Tompkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Featherstone having to interfere.

Bournemouth FC's players were relieved. 61 minutes into the game, Kristopher Tompkins recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sam Featherstone . Kristopher Tompkins showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vince Appleton in the 71st minute of play forced Radway's goalkeeper Martyn Froggatt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vince Appleton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
