Radway's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marek Ingham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reg Simms received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Martyn Froggatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristopher Tompkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrick Button struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Martyn Froggatt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uxbridge City. Kristopher Tompkins 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vance Charles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Austen Carson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Radway's supporters rose to their feet, but Austen Carson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vance Charles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jack Brearley during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marek Ingham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Radway booed when Uxbridge City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Warnett didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute of the match, Kristopher Tompkins tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vance Charles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kristopher Tompkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vance Charles having to interfere. Marek Ingham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Vance Charles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 49th minute, Marek Ingham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Radway fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kristopher Tompkins in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vance Charles saved Uxbridge City from getting behind. Patrick Button sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marek Ingham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vance Charles having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, Uxbridge City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rob Nicholls to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Kristopher Tompkins made a precise shot to the right of Vance Charles. Uxbridge City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After some careless play in the Uxbridge City defense, Marek Ingham kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vance Charles. The Uxbridge City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vance Charles should have stopped the shot. Vance Charles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Austen Carson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Vance Charles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristopher Tompkins in the 76th minute of the match. Kristopher Tompkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Vance Charles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marek Ingham in the 93rd minute of play. If Marek Ingham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
