Jeremy Maginnis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Martyn Froggatt made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Radway's Benjamin Bridgewater got a free kick in the 24th minute. Radway's Martyn Froggatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Browne in the 26th minute of play. Jeremy Maginnis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Martyn Froggatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martyn Froggatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthew Browne in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Radway's goalkeeper Martyn Froggatt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremy Maginnis. Curtis Goodman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristopher Tompkins , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marek Ingham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Curtis Goodman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matthew Browne to strike the kick off in the second half. Martyn Froggatt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremy Maginnis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Bristol Kingswood's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Radway the free kick. Richard Pascoe 's late challenge caught a Bristol Kingswood's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Pascoe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd match minute, Radway was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Pascoe to maneuver through the defense. David Lineker didn't quite understand what happened when in the 95 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet.
