A wasted opportunity for Arsenal FC. 13 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vince Appleton came free, but Ian Griffin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralf Naylors short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Sam Featherstone to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The long shot by Jack Jobling in the 17th minute really tested Sam Featherstone 's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Luizinho Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sam Featherstone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Arsenal FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ralf Naylor hit a great ball. Jonny Bourton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vince Appleton 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Griffin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. The Arsenal FC fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Arsenal FC's Ralf Naylor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonny Bourton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Griffin having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonny Bourton to strike the kick off in the second half. Luizinho Furtado might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sam Featherstone . Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luizinho Furtado ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Ralf Naylor put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sam Featherstone . In the 74th minute, Luizinho Furtado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sam Featherstone was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 77th minute, Seth Bateson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sam Featherstone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pocho Lavezzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ralf Naylor in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sam Featherstone saved Bournemouth FC from getting behind. Vince Appleton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ian Griffin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute Jonny Bourton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Griffin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
