Sam Featherstone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Button, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Dennis Sheringham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Sam Featherstone made a huge save. In the 18th match minute, Uxbridge City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Warnett to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Bournemouth FC's Luke Wardell tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Patrick Button came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Uxbridge City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Button couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonny Bourton in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vance Charles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Patrick Button dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sam Featherstone , 1-0. When Uxbridge City's Patrick Button in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uxbridge City's goalie prevented a goal. 38 minutes into the match, Bournemouth FC's goalkeeper Sam Featherstone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Button. Patrick Button sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Bournemouth FC fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Bournemouth FC's Vince Appleton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonny Bourton to strike the kick off in the second half. Vince Appleton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ash Clifton during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luke Wardell walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Vince Appleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jack Beaver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vance Charles having to interfere. Jonny Bourton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 played minutes Uxbridge City got a freekick which was hit by Keith Wicks. Vance Charles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vince Appleton in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vince Appleton got free with Vance Charles in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uxbridge City's Vance Charles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonny Bourton in the 80th minute of play. Sam Featherstone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Button in the 82nd minute of the match. Vince Appleton 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vance Charles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. If Vince Appleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Uxbridge City booed when Bournemouth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brett Hutton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uxbridge City's Patrick Button got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexander Wardell hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After having played for 99 minutes, Patrick Button managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uxbridge City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Button was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
