Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 0) Frank Snowdon was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Patrick Hall took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Martyn Froggatt to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Potters Bar getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Adrian Clough hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Hall got free with Martyn Froggatt in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Marek Ingham came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Radway fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marek Ingham couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Radway getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Richard Pascoe hit a great ball. Patrick Hall 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martyn Froggatt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Matthew Reddington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Martyn Froggatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marek Ingham 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathon Tucker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Matthew Reddington made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Potters Bar got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Clough . Jonathon Tucker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristopher Tompkins , who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 62 played minutes Potters Bar got a freekick which was hit by Jimmy Dobbs . Kristopher Tompkins might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathon Tucker . Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristopher Tompkins ran back to his position shaking his head. Patrick Hall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Potters Bar booed when Radway was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Holmes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Potters Bar were victorious despite being under pressure from Radway for much of the match.
