In the 38thth minute of the game Vince Appleton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bristol Kingswood's Curtis Goodman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Bournemouth FC's goalkeeper Sam Featherstone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremy Maginnis. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonny Bourton to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Jeremy Maginnis sped through Bournemouth FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sam Featherstone . Jonny Bourton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 77th minute, Guy Bryans had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 77 minutes, Eric Holmes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bournemouth FC and the Bristol Kingswood players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremy Maginnis couldn't finish the play. Bristol Kingswood succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Bournemouth FC had controlled the match.
