Philip Botham hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Pocho Lavezzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pocho Lavezzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martyn Froggatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Radway's Marek Ingham got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Luizinho Furtado fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Martyn Froggatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizinho Furtado in the 13th minute of play. Luizinho Furtado was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Frank Snowdon hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The long shot by Ralf Naylor in the 17th minute really tested Martyn Froggatt 's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Pocho Lavezzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Froggatt having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Arsenal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seth Bateson to maneuver through the defense. Luizinho Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Martyn Froggatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralf Naylor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martyn Froggatt having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Martyn Froggatt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 44 minutes into the match, Radway's goalkeeper Martyn Froggatt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pocho Lavezzi. After 46 played minutes Arsenal FC got a freekick which was hit by Seth Bateson. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ralf Naylor to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Radway was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Snowdon to maneuver through the defense. The excitement rose when Arsenal FC's Phil Hirst after 54 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Radway's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-0. 57 minutes into the match, Radway's goal looked a bit too open when Pocho Lavezzi came free, but Martyn Froggatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralf Naylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Froggatt having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Radway's Kristopher Tompkins slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ian Griffin. That made the score 3-1 after 66 minutes of play. Martyn Froggatt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Naylor in the 70th minute of the match. Richard Pascoe 's late challenge caught a Arsenal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Pascoe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd minute of the match Ralf Naylor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martyn Froggatt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Frank Snowdon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. A collision led to Radway getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Frank Snowdon hit a great ball. Pocho Lavezzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the game, Jerry Dearden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Radway the free kick. A collision led to Arsenal FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jerry Dearden hit a great ball. Radway's Martyn Froggatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizinho Furtado in the 94th minute of play. Pocho Lavezzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Martyn Froggatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
