Eton's Adam Biernat got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spike Holloway in the 18th minute of play forced Eton's goalkeeper Kevin Brookman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reddish's Michael Holbrook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fitz Alderson in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Reddish's Pete McDonald got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Fitz Alderson succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to get real power on a long shot . Reddish's Michael Holbrook hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-1! In the 26th minute, Fitz Alderson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Adam Biernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrew McGuigan charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrew McGuigan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute, Fitz Alderson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kevin Brookman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spike Holloway , who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Kevin Brookman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew McGuigan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Eton left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Reddish.
