A collision led to Nailsea AFC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Kenny Stiles hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zackary Blackburn in the 12th minute of play forced Nailsea AFC's goalkeeper Kenneth Chegwyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lowestoft AFC's Jake Stone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Griffiths in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Robin Medley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 25 minutes, Pedro Blakely managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nailsea AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Blakely was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Len Way 's late challenge caught a Lowestoft AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Len Way helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lowestoft AFC booed when Nailsea AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Len Way didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean McDermot in the 38th minute of play forced Nailsea AFC's goalkeeper Kenneth Chegwyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sean McDermot in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenneth Chegwyn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sean McDermot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kenneth Chegwyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zackary Blackburn during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zackary Blackburn to make the kick off. Sean McDermot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Kenneth Chegwyn made a huge save. Kenneth Chegwyn was a little too slow when Sean McDermot got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-1. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nailsea AFC's goalkeeper Kenneth Chegwyn , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jake Stone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Blakely in the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Emberson in the 71st minute of play forced Nailsea AFC's goalkeeper Kenneth Chegwyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jake Stone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Blakely, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sean McDermot got free with Kenneth Chegwyn in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Blakely's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jake Stone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Pedro Blakely notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Lowestoft AFC's Jake Stone . Jake Stone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sean McDermot came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kenneth Chegwyn could save by the left post. The Lowestoft AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
