The Hamilton Knightley was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 18 minutes, Billy Dunlop made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Northwich's Hamilton Knightley tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute, Benjamin Bennet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Lisburn Football Club's Freddie Vaughn fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Billy Dunlop struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Hamilton Knightley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lisburn Football Club. In the 30th minute, Freddie Vaughn fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hamilton Knightley, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Best in the 31st minute of play forced Northwich's goalkeeper Hamilton Knightley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Billy Dunlop came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hamilton Knightley could save by the left post. With an all-out effort, Lisburn Football Club's Hamilton Knightley threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Freddie Vaughn, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Billy Dunlops short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Hamilton Knightley to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Billy Dunlop who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Hamilton Knightley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Billy Dunlop could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Hamilton Knightley made a huge save. After 46 played minutes Northwich got a freekick which was hit by Owen Mayfield. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Hamilton Knightley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy Dunlop in the 76th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Billy Dunlop in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamilton Knightley saved Northwich from getting behind. Hamilton Knightley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Billy Dunlop's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. When Freddie Vaughn came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Lisburn Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddie Vaughn couldn't finish the play. If Freddie Vaughn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rdth minute of the game Billy Dunlop who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Northwich's Hamilton Knightley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Billy Dunlop sped through Northwich's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hamilton Knightley. 97 minutes into the match, Northwich's goal looked a bit too open when Freddie Vaughn came free, but Hamilton Knightley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lisburn Football Club fully deserved thier win.
