Lowestoft AFC's Jake Stone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivor Haywood in the 2nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lowestoft AFC's zone, Ivor Haywood stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jake Stone came out of the goal and Ivor Haywood tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jake Stone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivor Haywood in the 8th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Fairfield's goal looked a bit too open when Zackary Blackburn came free, but Ivan Deacon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Deacon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zackary Blackburn , who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Edison in the 25th minute of play forced Lowestoft AFC's goalkeeper Jake Stone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Deacon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zackary Blackburn in the 45th minute of the match. If Zackary Blackburn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sean McDermot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ken Edison stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Ken Edison 's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jake Stone was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Ken Edison kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Ivor Haywood managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Edison in the 71st minute of play forced Lowestoft AFC's goalkeeper Jake Stone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivor Haywood in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jake Stone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chesney Elliott hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Lowestoft AFC's Reggie Oakes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fairfield. After 81 minutes, Ivor Haywood mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fairfield and the Lowestoft AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fairfield booed when Lowestoft AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Medley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Medley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerry Knightley kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Sean McDermot got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Fairfield's Ivan Deacon got control of the ball when Sean McDermot tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
