Silvester Beadle succeeded in the game's 13th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. John Bateman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tod Whitmore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Avebury AFC got a freekick which was hit by Elisha Fenwick . If Liam Holdsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st match minute, Avebury AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rory Lima to maneuver through the defense. Crispin Gordon was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Billy Moore capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Billy Moore really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Tod Whitmore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Bateman in the 31st minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Billy Moore made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Elisha Fenwick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 56 minutes, Allan Lydiate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bromborough AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Lydiate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute Billy Moore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Crispin Gordon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Bateman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tod Whitmore read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Allan Lydiate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvester Beadle scored 1-3 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tod Whitmore , who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
