Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. When Glyn Littlechild came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Harold Hill AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glyn Littlechild couldn't finish the play. Gerry Roberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Froggatt having to interfere. In the 12th minute Glyn Littlechild shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Froggatt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Einstein FC's Trev Froggatt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Einstein FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Harold Hill AFC's Glyn Littlechild slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Trev Froggatt. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Trey Warnett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Einstein FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trey Warnett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Glyn Littlechild managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harold Hill AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Glyn Littlechild was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trev Froggatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Gerry Roberts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerry Roberts might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trev Froggatt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerry Roberts ran back to his position shaking his head. When Eric Webb came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Einstein FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Webb couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eric Webb to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Einstein FC's zone, Gerry Roberts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trev Froggatt came out of the goal and Gerry Roberts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harold Hill AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Eric Webb scored to the left of an out of position Robert Rockett, making the score, 1-1. 63 minutes into the match, Glyn Littlechild notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Einstein FC's Trev Froggatt. Trev Froggatt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Glyn Littlechild fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Froggatt having to interfere. If Glyn Littlechild had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Einstein FC's goal looked a bit too open when Glyn Littlechild came free, but Trev Froggatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trev Froggatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glyn Littlechild, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Einstein FC's David Mansell got a free kick in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Gerry Roberts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harold Hill AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerry Roberts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trev Froggatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Harold Hill AFC booed when Einstein FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Devon Paget didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Mansell hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Gerry Roberts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Trev Froggatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
