Seating: 1943, VIP seats: 168) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Connor Lagdon kicked off to start the match. If Joe Bateson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benji Allister could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Brian Greaves made a huge save. When Brandon Sawyer fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oulton Broad's protests and gave Brandon Sawyer a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Oulton Broad got a freekick which was hit by Brandon Sawyer. Derek Simpson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Connor Lagdon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 20 minutes into the match, Oulton Broad's goal looked a bit too open when Derek Simpson came free, but Adam Boulton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cuddington getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Mary Hutchinson hit a great ball. If Joe Bateson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joe Bateson succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Brian Greaves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Brian Greaves stood somewhat misplaced when Benji Allister came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. Connor Lagdon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Adam Boulton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joe Bateson to make the kick off. Adam Boulton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Connor Lagdon in the 64th minute of play. Joe Bateson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 77 minutes, Derek Simpson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuddington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Derek Simpson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joe Bateson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Brian Greaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mary Hutchinson kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Baron McCann sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cuddington's Brian Greaves didn't even have to move. In the 91st minute, Joe Bateson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brian Greaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Cuddington's zone, Benji Allister stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brian Greaves came out of the goal and Benji Allister tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oulton Broad were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cuddington for a fine match.
