Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Avebury AFC's Kenneth Dalton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Harold Hill AFC's Robert Rockett got control of the ball when Kelvin Kindness tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 4th minute Gerry Roberts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Burnett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Harold Hill AFC defense, Kelvin Kindness kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Rockett. The Harold Hill AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Rockett should have stopped the shot. When Alexander Ambrose fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avebury AFC's protests and gave Alexander Ambrose a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Avebury AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Ambrose. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerry Roberts in the 12th minute of play forced Avebury AFC's goalkeeper Austen Burnett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th match minute, Harold Hill AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neal Coates to maneuver through the defense. Dennis Golding hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes, Harold Hill AFC's Neal Coates shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Austen Burnett came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Harold Hill AFC reached it. Ty Pointon charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ty Pointon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Ty Pointon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes, Harold Hill AFC's Neal Coates shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Austen Burnett came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Harold Hill AFC reached it. When Kelvin Kindness came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Avebury AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kelvin Kindness couldn't finish the play. Avebury AFC's Kelvin Kindness got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th of the match, Kenneth Dalton tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Robert Rockett got in the way and made a wonderful save. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Kelvin Kindness got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Glyn Littlechild made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerry Roberts got free with Austen Burnett in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the game, Glyn Littlechild recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Austen Burnett. Glyn Littlechild showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Kenneth Dalton succeeded in the game's 61st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. After having played for 66 minutes, Glyn Littlechild managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harold Hill AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glyn Littlechild was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerry Roberts might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Austen Burnett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerry Roberts ran back to his position shaking his head. Forrest Henwood kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. When Lee Morgan fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harold Hill AFC's protests and gave Lee Morgan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Harold Hill AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Lee Morgan hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Avebury AFC's Kelvin Kindness sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Rockett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Kelvin Kindness managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avebury AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kelvin Kindness was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Rockett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robert Rockett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Dalton in the 80th minute of play. Glyn Littlechild sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89thth minute of the game Glyn Littlechild who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avebury AFC's Austen Burnett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Harold Hill AFC's Glyn Littlechild got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rdth minute of the game Kenneth Dalton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Harold Hill AFC's Robert Rockett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Harold Hill AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Avebury AFC.
