Billy Woods showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenneth Dalton in the 5th minute of the match. Ty Pointon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Woods having to interfere. Polperro's Billy Woods played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenneth Dalton in the 10th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Kelvin Kindness got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kelvin Kindness in the 30th minute of play forced Polperro's goalkeeper Billy Woods to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Avebury AFC's Austen Burnett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephen Oakes in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Avebury AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Ambrose to maneuver through the defense. Billy Woods showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kelvin Kindness in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Avebury AFC were awarded a corner. Dennis Golding went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Dennis Golding almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Polperro's Billy Woods did a great save. Avebury AFC's Kenneth Dalton got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephen Oakes in the 47th minute of play forced Avebury AFC's goalkeeper Austen Burnett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Avebury AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stephen Oakes was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Avebury AFC booed when Polperro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matt Perkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Avebury AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Oakes came free, but Austen Burnett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kelvin Kindness had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Kenneth Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avebury AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenneth Dalton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Billy Woods breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Billy Woods made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Kelvin Kindness sent off a good shot on target. Polperro's Billy Woods proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Polperro from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute, Maik Clark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 minutes, Rupert Nicholson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Polperro and the Avebury AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rupert Nicholson hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Polperro's Billy Woods got control of the ball when Kelvin Kindness tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Matt Perkins fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polperro's protests and gave Matt Perkins a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Avebury AFC booed when Polperro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matt Perkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Austen Burnett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Oakes, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Avebury AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Avebury AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
